It’s that time of year when things feel equal parts busy and beautiful here at Nest with the Nelsons — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We’ve had such an exciting season filled with new beginnings, final reveals, and a few special personal touches sprinkled in. I thought it might be fun to share a little behind-the-scenes look at what’s been happening lately (and what’s coming next!).
Huntington Park: The New Chapter
We recently wrapped up the Huntington Park: New Chapter home — and WOW, this one has my heart. The house already had so much character, but our goal was to bring it into a more modern light while staying true to its charm. The end result? A stunning, refreshed space that feels both timeless and perfectly suited for the young family who lives there now. I can’t wait to share more photos and updates from this one soon — it’s truly a showstopper.
Bennington Lake: Cozy Meets Function
Meanwhile, we’ve been putting the finishing touches on a gorgeous home on Bennington Lake. The homeowners wanted a design that felt warm, layered, and cozy — something that complements those incredible lake views while still working hard for their busy household. Think rich textures, inviting tones, and spaces that make you exhale the second you walk in.
Up Next: A Project Close to Home
Next on the list is a project that’s especially near and dear — quite literally just minutes from our own home! We’ll be transforming an early-2000s house into a modern, welcoming retreat filled with warmth, luxury, and thoughtful detail. I’m beyond excited to get started and can already picture the transformation ahead.
A Personal Note from Home
On a more personal note, I’m writing this very post from my favorite new spot — our kitchen banquette! The bench itself is a pew from my hometown, the table was lovingly built by my father-in-law, and the chairs were passed down from my parents. It’s a little mix of old and new, sentimental and stylish — and it makes me smile every morning. Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing a full post about it soon. It’s too special not to.
