The Joy Behind the Design: A Year in Review
As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself slowing down and looking back—on the projects, the people, and the moments that made this year so meaningful. We cherished very moment of the homes we touched, the businesses we helped shape, and the lives that were made just a little better through thoughtful design. It’s a season of reflection. Honestly? My heart feels very full.
If I had to sum up 2025 in one word, it would be joy.
Joy as a mom, soaking up the laughter, energy, and everyday magic my kids bring into our home. Joy as a wife, grateful for my sweet husband and the life we’re building together. Joy as a daughter, cherishing time with my dad and holding close the beautiful memories of my mom. And joy—so much joy—as an interior designer. I get to meet clients like you, dream alongside you, and help create spaces that truly feel alive.
Every time I step into a new project, whether it’s a full home, a single room, or a commercial space, I’m reminded why I started our business. Design isn’t something I clock in and out of. It’s personal. A piece of my heart goes into every layout, every finish, and every tiny detail that makes your space yours. Being trusted with your home or business is something I never take lightly. Being considered the best Omaha interior designer by so many of you means more to me than I could ever put into words.
Your projects—big and small—are the fuel behind the creativity, energy, and inspiration that keep me moving forward. The excitement you feel when a space finally clicks? I feel it, too. The pride you take in welcoming people into a home that finally reflects you? That joy is shared.
So where am I going with all of this?
Simply to say thank you.
Thank you to every client who trusted Nest with the Nelsons with their space—you each hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to those who have shared our name with a friend or family member. That kind of word-of-mouth support is the greatest compliment I could ever receive. If you’ve been quietly thinking about reaching out to the best Omaha interior designer for your home or commercial project in the new year, know this—I’m so grateful to even be on your mind.
Thank you for being here. For reading along. For supporting our interior design firm. And for keeping Nest with the Nelsons top of mind as you upgrade, downsize, renovate, build, move, or reimagine what’s next for your space.
