The Summer Design Rush Is Here — And These Omaha Home Projects Are Going to Be Incredible
Things have been BUSY! You know the drill – tons of kid activities, too many to dos on the list, endless house projects, errands, and ALL of the end of school year hoopla thrown into the mix.
But, all in all, the resounding sentiment is gratitude.
Fantastic Summer Intern … Check!
This week, I’m especially grateful for our new (and AMAZING!) summer intern to kickstart her journey with Nest with the Nelsons. Masyn Bunnell, an interior design student from Wayne State College joined the ranks of our design studio, and we could not be more excited to welcome her with open arms and tons of love.
She is already hitting the ground running by joining us for design and paint consults, exploring our layout and design mood board program, and helping us launch an official Nest with the Nelsons Pinterest page – WOOHOO!
Design Projects Underway
We also have some awesome home design projects brewing – two stunning projects in Regency – seriously, one of my all-time favorite neighborhoods to work in!! One Regency project is diving headfirst into the design concept phase. The other JUST started, and ideas are coming fast and furious. Stay tuned – these are both projects you won’t want to miss a moment of.
There’s another super exciting project in Stone Park that’s well underway with MAJOR main floor demo. If you’re following along on social – which you absolutely should plug into now (@nestwiththenelsons) – this project is undergoing a huge facelift with the kitchen being completely reimagined, updated, and fully enhanced. The entryway, living room, front office, mudroom reconfiguration, and powder refresh are coming in hot, too. Stay tuned here. It’s going to be OH. SO. GOOD!!
The Countdown to Summer is On
Along with these exciting design updates, we’re also in a mad dash to the finish of the school year. The big kids are out on Thursday at 11 AM (why?!), and little man is done Friday before noon. PHEW!
I know all of you moms are hustling these last couple of weeks of May. I see you! Take good care of yourselves, and wishing for your coffee to be much stronger than your kids’ don’t want to go to school attitudes as we wrap the school year.
Sweeten your Home this Summer
And, when you can catch a breather – do yourself a favor and schedule your free 15-minute consult with me to chat about your home. I’d love to help give your home a boost to sweeten your summer.
We can’t wait to help you love your home again. Happy summer!
XOXO,
Megan Nelson
