Underground potential issues can be a nightmare if you don’t know they’re there, or don’t know that you need to be concerned about them. You need to look at the history of the property and see if there have ever been repairs carried out here.
You then need to look to see if there is any indication that there is an issue underground, and you’re going to need to call upon the services of a company that offers well pump repair, or something similar underground. You don’t want to have to do this, which is why it’s important you check there are no existing issues.
Asbestos And Foundation Issues
Finally, you should be checking for asbestos and foundation issues. Asbestos can be dangerous when disturbed, and a lot of people are not happy to purchase a home that was made with this. Many home owners have this removed for this exact reason, so it’s a good idea to check.
The foundation is also a crucial part of the checks that need to be completed. Again, it’s on the surveyor to check this, but we have seen things missed before so ask them specifically to pay attention to this. This way, you know for sure you’re not going to be facing unexpected problems with it.
