What My Rainbow Nails Taught Me About Great Home Design

I did something this week that I honestly haven’t done in years.

No, I didn’t change my hair. I didn’t buy another house (don’t tempt me!). I simply got a little brave … with my nails.

As my daughter and I packed for a fun summer trip to the lake, we decided to paint our toenails every color of the rainbow. It instantly brought me back to being a little kid, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

Then I thought, Why stop there?

Feeling a little extra adventurous, I gave my fingernails the summer treatment too—neon pink, bright yellow, bold orange, and just enough sparkle to make me grin every time I look down.

Now, I have to admit, this felt like a big deal. Between meeting with Nest with the Nelsons clients and spending time with colleagues on campus, I usually lean toward a more classic look. But it’s summer…and sometimes summer is the perfect excuse to have a little fun.

As silly as it sounds, this whole experience reminded me of something we see every day as an Omaha interior design studio.
