The most expensive furniture, countertops, flooring, and decor are NOT required to have a totally stunning home!
Is this a total shock to you? As we’re scrolling Instagram, I think it is so ridiculously easy to fall into the trap that to have a beautiful home, it must be worth a $1 million +, be on 5 acres of land, have a 5-car garage, there must be a have a stellar pool and pool boy out back, and the interior of the home – phew! Don’t even get me started. There is swoon-worthy, luxury furniture, sky-high fireplaces with the most luxurious of finishes, killer light fixtures the size (and the cost!) of a car, and $40K sofas everywhere you turn.
While these pieces that make an absolutely stunning home are out there, they are simply not accessible to the majority of design clients we serve in Omaha. Would we like to help clients like this with unlimited budgets? Absolutely! But, our business exists to help the client who is looking for some help with a more traditional, and eh um, realistic budget.
Now, while all these deluxe finishes and fixtures would be wonderful, this is simply not the reality for the majority of us. Or, at least it’s not the case for me and my family. Nor is it the case for many of the clients we work with on a daily basis.
